About mtbAsia
mtbAsia was officially launched in 2000 with the objective of bringing the diverse Asian mountain biking community together through the common language of cycling.

We endeavour to capture the side of the sport that promotes exercise, an appreciation of the environment and a sense of well-being.

It is also our aim to promote the many ordinary men and women who have and will achieve extraordinary things together with their bike, which is of significance to others as well as for themselves.

It's founding owner, Michael Lu, is an avid mountain biker who caught the spirit of the sport while working as logistics support for Raid Gauloises Malaysian Borneo 1994. He rides a '96 Kona Explosif and his dreams are to own 2 custom built Ti bikes (road and off-road), to ride the VELO MAGAZINE - ETAPE DU TOUR and the highest road in the world; the Leh to Manali Traverse in the Himalayas.
